Fostering a conscious and happy family life

Spending time together as a family is one of the most precious ways to create strong emotional bonds, and come together to foster love and respect for each other. Making the well-being of children and caregivers a priority, through an organized but flexible routine, can greatly enrich our bond.

When I imagine the day when my children finish school, in some years’ time, I think that they will no longer be under my direct care, they will have to navigate their own decisions, meet challenges, find their own resources, and walk their own path.

What can I do today so that they not only survive but "learn to live"? Perhaps a life skill, beyond learning to drive, taking care of their health, handle money, could be learning to flow spiritually. Spiritual development from childhood, according to studies at Columbia University, is an essential foundation for resilience, character, identity formation, healthy relationships and flourishing in adulthood. These studies show that a positive, active relationship with our spirituality from childhood reduces the chances of suffering from depression, addictions, and self-injurious behavior in general.

As an adult and as a mother on my own path, I have had to develop certain skills as a grown-up. I would like my kids to develop them from a young age. These qualities are not necessarily taught at home, nor in schools, such as learning to relax, to stay focused, to look within, to know our emotions, thoughts; learning to manage stress and to self-regulate; being conscious about our Self and about the interconnection with all that surrounds us. I believe experiencing these qualities from childhood can help us as adults to find meaning and purpose in life, as well as to live with wisdom and compassion.

I have developed JOYFUL KIDS to inspire, to accompany families on this same path. Through our programs, we facilitate holistic techniques for the integral well-being of children, parents and caregivers. Our aim is to seek that each family and its members turn their gaze inwards, learn to be present, share a balanced lifestyle, and share ways of nourishing and taking care of each other.
